No One PHX ID Coalition

"We believe the efforts of Phoenix policymakers to deter the settlement of illegal aliens in the city and state should be considered when evaluating ID cards . After weighing all the factors, the illegal alien population Costs, rather than saves, the taxpayers of Phoenix."

WHY DOES PHOENIX WISH TO OBSCURE THE LINE BETWEEN THOSE WHO LEGALLY RESIDE IN THIS CITY WITH THOSE WHO RESIDE HERE ILLEGALLY? THIS ATTEMPT IN WEAVING THE ILLEGAL POPULATION INTO THE FABRIC OF THIS CITY IS DE FACTO, "AMNESTY"!

  • There were an estimated 278,460 illegal aliens working in Arizona in 2011, approximately 9.3 percent of the total workforce.
  • Unemployment in Arizona in January 2012 was 8.7 percent with 262,587 Arizonans officially unemployed.
  • Over 10% of children enrolled in public schools (K-12) have parents who are in the U.S. illegally.
  • Illegal aliens and their children were found to be 37 percent of the uninsured population in Arizona in 2008, and the cost of uncompensated Medical Care for illegal aliens in Arizona averages approximately $320 million annually.
  • The total of educational, medical and incarceration costs to Arizona taxpayers due to Illegal Immigration is $2.6 billion a year.

THE REAL ECONOMICAL IMPACT OF BECOMING A SANCTUARY CITY/STATE.

A municipal ID card will not offer rewards to Phoenicians without increasing TAXES across the board. Remember: there is no such thing as "a free ride".

A STRONGER ECONOMY ?

"Keeps our dollars in the local economy, by rewarding the cardholders who choose to shop here locally.
The One Phx ID keeps our dollars in the local economy, by rewarding the cardholders who choose to shop locally. Studies have shown that money stays and re-circulates more often when spent at locally owned businesses. Out of every dollar spend at a locally owned business 45% will stay and recirculate in that community, versus 13% when spent otherwise."
